What Can be Recycled at School

  • Manuals
  • Notebooks
  • Phone books
  • Softcover books or any bound item that is not a hardcover book
  • Thick paperbacks
  • Workbooks

There is no special preparation necessary if the softcover book’s binding is stapled or glued. Just toss it into your recycling bin. If it has a spiral, wire, or plastic binding, those must be removed before you can toss the softcover and its contents into your bin.

Thin Film Plastics

Schools can also recycle thin film plastics including grocery bags, clean baggies, bubble wrap, etc., through the town’s recycling program.
