Announces the Rally for the Rails!
Friday, May 17, 2024 at 3:45pm at the Hampton Bays Train Station
Increase Train Service to the South Fork - Join our elected officials, plus local leaders in education, medicine, and the small business community, along with the loyal riders of the South Fork Commuter Connection, to ask the MTA/LIRR to commit funds in their upcoming capital budget for necessary and long talked about infrastructure improvements for the South Fork.
South Fork Needs New/Upgraded Sidings - These basic improvements are needed to increase South Fork service and continue increasing ridership on the fastest growing line in the LIRR system.
2024 - Train Schedule
We are asking for employers and employees who appreciate the need for more frequent train service to show support by attending the rally and/or emailing back to us a letter asking the MTA to allocate funding for improvements.
Attached is a sample letter for you/your employer to use as a template.
